A ballast resistor is necessary to run a bare laser tube. (Lasers that are in a metal head will have one built in.) It must be placed in series with the anode lead within 3" of the tube. Dale RS-10, 100K ohm, 10 Watt wire wound ballast resistor. Recommended for large HeNe laser tubes that operate up to 10mA.

A ballast resistor is necessary to run a bare laser tube. (Lasers that are in a metal head will have one built in.) It must be placed in series with the anode lead within 3" of the tube. Dale NS-5-69, 20K ohm, 5 Watt, non-inductive wire wound ballast resistor. Recommended for HeNe laser tubes that operate up to 15.8mA.

Melles Griot model 05-FDS-207 fiber optic laser beam delivery system in factory box. This model is designed for peak efficiency at 633nm but will also work well with Yellow and Orange HeNe lasers . It produces a well collimated beam and maintains polarization. This is a used, tested system.
System includes:
-
Kinematic fiber launch with standard laser head mount
-
1 meter fiber optic cable with pre-aligned optics

Solder clips allow to you to attache wires or ballast resistors to the electodes of laser tubes. It is not recommended to solder directly to the tube. This set fits large laser tubes such as our HNT-5 tube with .37 to .42" diameter electrodes. They also have a #4 mounting hole.
This is a set of 2 clips.
